Policy for Attending In-Person Worship Services

In order to return to in person worship services, the re-entry committee has developed the following policies (consistent with the directives of the First Episcopal District) in order to provide a safe experience in light of the Covid 19 virus pandemic. We are asking all who wish to attend worship services at St. Mark to adhere to the policies as set forth below. The Church’s Capacity is 45 congregants in the pews. Also please be mindful that as this terrible virus changes the policy and procedures of St. Mark are subject to change.

Entering the Church

  • ENTER ONLY – The Handicap Door – The Entrance at the Far East of the Church. The last door as you walk East of Springdale Ave.

  • MASKS - No person will be granted admission without a mask.
    -The masks must remain over nose and mouth at all time throughout service, (5 and under masks are not required)

  • TEMPERATURE CHECK - All those entering Church must have their temperature checked at the door.

  • -If a person has an elevated temperature, 100.4 degrees or over, you will be asked to exit the church and attend services virtually.

  • REGISTER at the QR (“Quick Response”) STATION – Once an individual’s temperature is checked, you will be directed to a QR Station – SMART phones are equipped to read QR Codes and you will be directed to a questionnaire. If you do not have a SMART Phone, St. Mark volunteers will assist you in registering. After completing the questionnaire, you will be directed by the Ushers to be seated.

During Service

  • Masks must remain over mouth and nose at all times.

  • You will be seated by the Ushers, You will not be able to choose your seating! Nor Can you leave your seating to sit elsewhere during Service. Seating arrangements will be by households with three feet between households.

Please refrain from shaking hands or embracing other individuals in the church. No Altar Prayer - it is preferred that you stand or kneel at your seat.

  • Bathrooms – we encourage social distancing and masking and we are asking that only one person utilize the restrooms at a time.

  • Communion – communion packages will be given to all when entering the church. During Communion we will remain at our seat.

  • Baptisms – will occur after Service

Exiting the Church

  • After the Benediction please remain seated, the ushers will direct our exit from the Sanctuary.

  • Please do not linger in and around the church after service but promptly exit the church and the Church campus.
